Pure TIG Welding Tungsten Electrodes contain 99.50 per cent tungsten, have the highest consumption rate of any electrode, and are generally less expensive than their alloyed counterparts. These electrodes form a clean, ball-shaped tip when heated and provide excellent arc stability for balanced wave AC welding. Pure tungsten also provides good arc stability for AC sine welding, especially on aluminium and magnesium.
